I wanna see the heat gun thing... Even if it's a only a few minutes long

@JayzTwoCents A broken belt would mean a complete engine failure then, right? I guess you wouldn't technically overheat haha.

@JayzTwoCents in your camaro and truck, single cam in block, the water pump is not part of the timing system. if it's mechanical, its run off your accessory belt, or it's electric.

@Ryan Evans This isn't true, not 100% anyway. There are interference and non-interference engines. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Interference_engine)
In a non-interference engine the pistons and valves have enough clearance they would never touch or "interfere" with each other.

Also, it's absolutely true that some vehicles have water pumps that run via the timing belt. I know this for a fact because both my Sebring and PT Cruiser have timing belt driven water pumps. This is a kit for the repair: https://www.amazon.com/Gates-TCKWP265A-Engine-Timing-Water/dp/B001NYHO2O

@JayzTwoCents hello Jay, I'm relatively new, but love your stuff. If you haven't already maybe a liberty build would be cool, some red white and blue theme. Anyway, have a good one, keep up the amazing work.

I had this idea to make hardline tubing easier. A mockup system. Tubing that can be rebent lots of times without needing heat( it could be solid). So you could physically see what the bend would look like in the build. Then when you are happy you can take the measurements off the mockup. Possibly foam tube with a metal wire inside that keeps the form. Or a lego style system of plastic tubes and bends that snap together to make the various shapes. In many builds I see hardlines that just don't look right, the angles are not consistant, tubes are not straight, or the design illogical, even though it works fine. A mockup system would help with that.

do metal tubes help (noticeably enough) with the heat radiation?

Hey Jay I've a question, my build has like 12 fittings so I went with the cheapest compression fittings I could get in white, which are Barrow.

These seemed good too because they have 2 internal o rings and one compression o ring, these being 12mm fittings for 12mmOD hard acrylic tubing. So I figured the clamping force would be good. They're honestly like extremely difficult to get in and out even when I use soapy water on the tube and inside of fitting to get it in it's still hard.

So, my question is, have you ever used the barrows I'm describing and or do you think 2 internal o rings plus the compression will be good?

(7:12) It's very entertaining to see how much abuse things can take. (8:10) My stomach would be in my throat had I done any of that myself haha.

What type of case is this ??
I like the look

Jay, what is that tool you used?.. (11:10)

You don't know what brass is, right? it's copper and zinc, so there's no mixing when you add in kobber blocks 😊

You can use a small level and 4" or 6" machinist rule to determine of the cards are level and evenly distanced. Jay's method is wildly inaccurate.

Jay after watching your themed case mod vid you should paint your gaming rig case to look like nebula's head

A copper pipe build could be steampunk-y. And get a copper coil or two for fun.

Sharkbite style fittings would make this way easier

The sad thing about nvidia is I'm 90% sure they have the next two generations of cards already built. The only thing that dictates their pacing of price vs performance is their competition.

Kinda think we are stuck until someone else makes a massive breakthrough, which I dont see happening.

Hey Jay, may I know where you get the sharpener drill bit or what is it called?

What's the name of that debur bit?

Doubt that will happen to NVIDIA. More than likely the fact that it and AMD have CEO's that are related is to not have monopoly status and to do very corrupt things and make artificial competition. They can maintain it indefinitely that way and never have to improve if they choose to.
