About The Carol Burnett Show
While there’s no truth to the rumor that “CBS” ever stood for The Carol Burnett Show, for eleven seasons and 278 episodes, this star-studded extravaganza of sketch comedy, song and dance became entertainment central for the network and TV viewers. Burnett operated in a relaxed theater setting that allowed her to take questions, cut loose with her famous Tarzan yell and join fellow performers Harvey Korman, Vicki Lawrence and Lyle Waggoner to have a laugh or sing a song. The show received 25 Emmy Awards and eight Golden Globes, making it one of the most honored shows in television history.

Tooooo funny.....one of the best...I watch this on channel 19.

Comedians today should take a page out of Mr.Conway's book, they would catapult their careers into outer space.

Right: "new" and "fashionable" and "PC" does not automatically make good comedy. There are some timeless principles that come from constant study, not from sinking to the lowest common denominator. Observation, study, making the best out of ordinary situations that everyone can relate to... Conway was a genius.

I miss both of them. I watched the Carol Burnett show faithfully with my best friend and my family for years. I pray that both are in heaven making the Lord Jesus and the angels laugh and laugh.

Back in the day when shows were actually funny. Families could watch and not have to worry about gross humor. TV to day is nothing but a cesspool.

Tell me about it. I am just trying to de-condition myself from all the rubbish I willingly fed myself whilst growing up.

Some great, clean, funny stuff. RIP thanks for the great family memories.

Comedy you could watch with kids in front of the TV. RIP both.

RIP Tim and Harvey will be in Heaven, with Doris Day.

Sad to hear of her passing, too.

True Comic genius. He was funny regardless of the script.

It seems to me that he worked both with and beyond the script. I mean, they must have rehearsed this a thousand times, yet Korman was helpless with laughter. Some of this seems unscheduled.

I remember watching these shows when I was young. It was where I first began to understand what adult comedy was about. Everyone on the Carol Burnett show were comedy geniuses in their own right

Thanks for the laughs!-RIP Mr Conway 😂😔💕✌🏻

Conway and Korman did another dentist skit sometime after that. It was similar, but this time Korman was a fugitive from justice with a toothache and he thought that Conway was a dentist; Conway was not a dentist, but he was forced into acting like one.

Conway also performed this skit in his movie They Went Thataway, and Thataway, and Thataway.

I grew up listening to the Goons, watching Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, and later on the genius of Black Adder. But this is without doubt the funniest sketch I have ever seen. Kills me every single time. 😆😆😆😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
