The Cavaliers and Warriors battled in the NBA Finals four consecutive years. LeBron James versus Steph Curry and the Warriors just became an expected matchup to end the season. But the last Finals series between these two teams wasn't quite as close as we had come to expect and it left a sour taste in the mouths of Cavs fans. It all started with a Game one slugfest, ending in one of the many mistakes made by wild card two guard, J.R. Smith.

2:45 - GOALTENDING. James hit the rim with his left hand. Igoudala should've been awarded the points and Warriors should've won the finals.

You guys should do a Rewinder on the Philly Special in Super Bowl LII. It's the story of a city still reeling from falling at the doorstep of greatness. They suffered three consecutive NFC Championship losses - against the greatest show on turf, and horrendous choke jobs against Jon Gruden's Bucs and then the Panthers. Those last two really stung, as the Birds seemed to be the team to beat in the NFL and they just kept letting their fans down at home in the NFC Championship. In a fourth consecutive trip, they managed to beat a young Michael Vick, a player who would at the time draw comparisons to McNabb, and later prove to be on a whole other level. This was the team that took the next step and signed Terrell Owens to finally give Donovan the weapon he's always needed (poor Todd Pinkston). Through Owens antics and his injury, they made it to the Super Bowl, where Owens would return and somehow play incredibly against Belichick's defense. Philly's biggest star was playing through illness too. Those factors along with classic Andy Reid clock management sealed the deal. It's a story of how the national media's depiction of the Philadelphia fans made it easy for football fans to enjoy the schadenfreude of watching Philadelphia turn their ringless despair on their longtime coach, Andy Reid. If coach Reid got one of those three big opportunities to get a ring, he might still be in Philly and none of the heroics in Super Bowl LII ever happen. It's the story of how that team broke down and got rid of first Reid, and then GM Howie Roseman, to appease their new coach Chip Kelly. Kelly would remind Philly how good they had it as they watched Kelly get rid of their best players for nutjobs like Kiko Alonso (side story: despite having taken numerous huge hits in his career, if you google "who hit Joe Flacco?" it shows you Kiko Alonso). Philly would dump the Kelly experiment and quickly hire a security blanket former backup quarterback and former Reid protege, Doug Pederson. Roseman, looking to make a splash in his return to a big role, made the move to get Carson Wentz in the draft, and later brought back Philly success story but St. Louis Rams failure, Nick Foles. Nick Foles replaced Michael Vick (coming full circle for him in his career after losing to the Eagles and subsequently going through his own issues off the field). Foles was one of the few success stories in the Chip Kelly years, surprising people in his performance taking over for the superstar. And he was here to back up our new phenom who was having a league MVP season in 2017 before getting hurt in a game over the Rams that decisively put them in the driver's seat in the NFC. Nobody expected this team to be here, and destiny was showing us the doorstep (it was also injuring a lot of stars across the league). And now it looked like the whole world was going to enjoy watching Philly fall flat in the playoffs again. They were the first 1 seed to ever be the underdog against a 6 seed. Nobody gave them a shot in the NFC championship against the team that just Minneapolis Miracle'd the Saints who had the incentive of playing the Super Bowl at home to play for (which also gave the national media reason to root for them). And against all the odds, the team was here in the Super Bowl with Nick Foles before half time. And they whip this out to show that this was a whole new era. This team was going to make its mark, and it starts now. They would go on to win the most entertaining Super Bowl in history (in my biased opinion) and beat the team who sent them into a spiral 14 years ago. Incredible.

Then the city would prove the national media right by collectively singing profanities on live television being led by Jason Kelce in a mummer suit. I love Philadelphia.

I don’t think the subtitle-makers knew how to spell the number “one.”

That push in the back on durant, tho. It should never have been an issue, because it should have been a foul on smith.

Didn't see a comment about how over-exaggerated this was to the overall outcome...but yeah...it all came down to this one error?

If LBJ was so great, the game shouldn't have been that close. If GHill had clutch in his veins, he wouldn't have missed that second free throw. But yeah, blame it on JR. That's what certain people do.

This is way outside your wheelhouse, but Cooper Webb and Ken Roczen's 0.028 finish at Arlington NEEDS a rewind. The race was this year but the story goes back 4 or 5 years.
