I love Miho Nonaka's chalk bag

First is parkour problem not boulder problem.
And Olympics we have gold medal for climbing not parkour.
Sad to see that these problems are moving away from outdoors experience.

Was cheering Fanny & Petra but W4' they were too gassed by its start pull to reach zone. SO close to the Final.

Tough break semi for Ito - so close on a Ws 2 & 3 and she holds zone on 4 for just one more second, she'd gotten credit. One second from the Finals!

What a rough set of boulders.

This might be my favorite semis all year. Perfect setting, great field with Shauna and Miho back. I was rooting for Kyra though. She was so close on number one and it would have gotten her in :(

Since the rebranding it's impossible to tell what each video is without clicking into it. All titles are truncated to "IFSC Climbing World Championships - Hachioji 201...". Can't tell if it's mens or womens, lead or boulder, semis or finals. The old titles were much better.

W3 & W4 were great boulders. They climbed like boulders, they were difficult, fantastic. W2 was ok but not terribly interesting to watch and didn't resemble any slab climb I've ever seen with a jug foot and a jump into a press finish. W1 was just dumb. Coordination dynos are the stupidest thing that's ever happened in the sport.

Athletes are absolutely amazing. Specially having such separation between them at such an elite level.
But what has become of climbing :/

Actually there were multiple styles in this comp, including more technical ones

It's just indoor climbing! Go outside, it's all still there!
