Johnny "Money" Manziel was easily one of the most entertaining college football players of his generation, with athleticism that made SEC defenders constantly look like kids in their backyards. As the first ever Freshman to win the Heisman trophy, it didn't take long for hype to build Manziel up as the next great NFL quarterback, even amidst constant off-field controversy during his time at Texas A&M. While many doubted his staying power in the league after being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round, few people saw the full-blown collapse of Manziel's career coming just two years after he entered the NFL. Watch this video to take a look at the skills and abilities that made him a generational talent at the college level, and why many of those same skills dug his own grave once he entered the pros.

Spoiled rich kid before football. Spoiled rich kid that didn't have the skills to compete in the NFL.

He's got a very punchable face.

I’m just sayin, this is my Lamar Jackson is so impressive.. he has been able to utilize this style and he’s doing it damn well.

Baker Mayfield is next

He was very immature. He did decent his 2nd year. But he partied too much

If we’re going to do this, let’s not leave out that all of Johnny Football’s losses in college had nothing to do with him. That tool, Sumlin, was useless with defense. He, his defenses coaches, and all the A&M defensive players from that era should all punch themselves in their balls every day they wake up for the rest of their lives for being such no talent ass clowns.

This is how many fans manziel lost when he joined the NFL

He’s a natural athlete and he comes from oil money - the nfl payday didn’t really motivate him and he didn’t have to work that hard to be dominant. So many people play football for different reasons

Who is watching this and not feeling one bit sorry for this entitled little shit? He earned almost 6 million from the Browns and who knows how much in endorsement deals, probably a few million more and his parents are worth over 50 million. I can't even afford to get my truck fixed right now so excuse me if I don't cry for this loser and his woes. I think he will be just fine being the ass that he continues to be.

I don't understand why they drafted him. Was it just a cynical bid to pull fans into the stadium? His limitations as an NFL pocket passer were obvious. He was the kind of guy that in the old days you would expect to play in the Canadian league where scrambling quarterbacks were common.

Johnny Faceball. Nice fucking face, scumbag. You look like spuds McKenzie fucked a frog and the frog shat you out.

Manziel was a drug addict, his own father said so.

JOHNNY WHO

He played and behaved like a dude who's dad is a billionare. What's the surprise? He never needed the money and it was fun time when he took the field. The other 10 dudes in that huddle were working.

You know Skip Bayless would pay any price for a 3 way with Manziel and Tebow.

am i the only one who knew he was gonna suck ass in the nfl?!?!?

Merrill Hoge on ESPN called it long before Manziel was drafted he said "He's got bust written all over him".

aggressively unintelligent + douce prick = failure

His family has oil money...when you come from money you don't respect the grind like these kids who have the pressure of changing their families lives

He's a spoiled brat who was surrounded by a bunch of ass kissing yes men who just continuously fed his ego rather than actually helping him develop his talent and character. He's an average qb who got lucky in college with a great receiving core that could bail him out.

They're faster here in the NFL.
