I wish they can remake the films with this type of quality.... sounds crazy but it would be amazing

How does this dude make a better 6 minute scene better then all movies that Disney has done 😂 like i said before Disney is just a parallel universe of the real star wars

Michael Caine says, when playing a drunk "I don't act drunk. I act as a man trying to behave sober, because that's how drunk people act"

A swordsman should be trying to hit his opponent, but parried at the last second, NOT trying to hit the sword itself

I'm being VERY picky, because the sword choreography could be slightly better. But. I'm trying to criticize a scene that is, let's face it, superior to the original by a country mile.

absolutely amazing, fucking outstanding to the max, even if i have some gripes about obiwans fighting style not being very true to what it would have been thats alright

Okey, Almost Perfect, I don't know if you used a render farm, or adobe after effects. The part when Vader executes Kenobi, I want you to make that part slow motion. It will be perfect! Kid, you've surprised everyone.

Those 5k dislikes are from Disney

Eine Frage bleibt. Was hat Darth Vader mit Obi Wans Lichtschwert gemacht? Davon hat man nie etwas gesehn. Wäre cool Episode 4 nochmal komplett mit diesem geilen Clip miteingebaut nochmals neu aufzunehmen. Starke Arbeit.

Jesus this is so well made

whole corridor sequence at the start of the fight is pure gold. Vader fights like one would expect Vader to fight. Power, rage, more of a bulldozer than a fighter, someone who doesn't even care if he's on fire while he's trying to kill the opponent he hates...

and Obi-Wan's style is also very realistic. Clearly on the defensive, overpowered, still probing for weaknesses, throwing thrusts here and there. Yes, he was an old man. No, after we've seen a centuries old alien frog doing the rolling-saber-lightning-jump all across the room twice in the prequels, is neither out of place at all, neither far fetched at all. Besides, some old people retain some surprising agility (for their age) if nature is kind with them and if they exercise properly. if you don't believe it I can provide some links. So a Master Jedi would have no problem moving as Obi-Wan does there.
That part of the fight is exceptional and (personal opinion) is one of the best lightsaber sequences I've ever seen, movie or not. Obviously its very noticeable that Sir Alec Guinness' face has been doctored into the action at some points but what they achieved with probably a laughable budget is already extraordinary...and the action is just PHENOMENAL.

Later on it doesn't hold as well, though. The whole "throw the saber" just doesn't make sense...because to begin with, Vader would've not missed such a throw. Also while the corridor fight was VERY good from the effects perspective, not so much there. Obi Wan's force push falls in the same class. I'm left with the feeling that they went too much with the "wow" factor making it much less credible. That, and that the special effects in that part aren't that well achieved - I don't like it too much.

But the first part of the fight, the corridor sequence, is jaw dropping. plain and simple. And this sequence needs a reimagining like this. Specially after Rogue One, the original Vader-Kenobi fight truly looked lame...not anymore ;).

Please insert this into the Despecialized Editions! (even though it's the opposite of what those were made for, I don't care!)

Am I the only one who really saw the anger in the eyes of his mask?

Hell yes, that’s what I’m taking about, the part where obey force pushes Vader and Vader stops mid push and looks up that was epic.........

Wow 😲

Excellent job. Would love to see this added to the original. Well done.

Holy smokes! I went back and watched the original again the tone is like night and day. 1977 Darth Vader was like "I sense Obi Wan, let me go confront him." 2019 Darth Vader was like "Die mf'er". In fact Vader could probably get away with a Dexter "Surprise mf" when they met in the corridor.
