am i the only one who couldn’t stop touching their hair during this?

My mom had beautiful curly hair, when she was like 3 months on chemo she couldn't brush her hair anymore beacause it would fall, she dicided to cut it all, her hair started growing again and she was so happy. She was even talking about what hairstyle she wanted. But she wasn't getting any better, doctors gave her a dosis of chemo to high. So she started to have a lot of problems and she passed away last year. I couldn't see her with the beautiful curly hair she usted to had. (I'm sorry if My English isn't good, is not my first language)

Arianna Marines I’m so sorry for your loss, it sounds so devastating I hope you can cheer up quickly

I've been told a couple of times that I have to go under tests to see if I have dementia or schizophrenia and I know that sounds at the beginning unrelated, but hear me out.
Last year, I thought I had brain cancer. My hair kept calling out in big clumps, I was losing a lot of weight, and nearly going bald. So I shaved my hair off. I'm told I have to undergo tests because I may be hallucinating everything. And I don't know what to do. I'm only 14.

You’re beautiful, stay strong ❤️

I’ve never gone through what you are going through but I do know what not having hair is like. When I was about 18 I decided to shave my full head of hair. I felt like my hair hadn’t been hair but was a wall for me to hide. I felt as though it wasn’t my hair. I didn’t identify with it therefore I never took care of it. Shaving my head was a way to restart my life. It was painful and hard at first but it was empowering and bold. I felt new and free! I hope that you find some sort of self acceptance and new love from whatever is on the top of your head! Hair or not you are a beautiful human inside and out.

This is similar to what happened to my aunt when I was younger but she didn't live, although she fought for a long time. I never really got the chance to know her, but this video is really interesting, if that makes any sense.

I’ve lost a lot of hair too but I’m not sick....a lot of it is gone but I still have quite a bit and I’m scared all of it will fall out.

My sister went through chemo and I had to watch her lose her hair. She had extremely long dark brown hair. It came back very thick, blonde/brown, and curly. Her hair grew back quickly. She was 10 when she was diagnosed and it was hard to watch.

i’m 18 about to be 19 & i’ve never really had a full head of hair but when i was younger, in like elementary school, it was thick. now i’ve lost a lot of hair & the hair i do have is very thin. it’s not easy, i always look at others girls hair & i get sad wishing i had it, all i ever wanted was a full head of hair. it doesn’t have to be pretty flawless hair but you get the point. i’ve never known or found out why it happens & going to appointments never helped. it sucks

My mom has had extremely thin fine hair all her life, and she has had her wigs for two years and just recently started wearing them everyday. She’s been so self conscious about how people will perceive her for wearing them, but we just went to my cousins wedding and everyone loved her wig I hope this has given her the confidence to just rock any wig she wants.

You’re so incredibly gorgeous.

There's definitely hope for getting it back, my step Mum had stage 4 cancer in the teens, she had chemo for months and months. All her hair fell out and she was bald for about a year due to it. She now has the thickest most gorgeous hair of anyone I've ever met and has for the past 20 years. I don't know if it's grows back the same for everyone but it's a possibility that it will be just as gorgeous as before xx
