Everyone knows the Zelda timeline is pretty incomprehensible. So in this episode of Unraveled, Brian David Gilbert puts every piece of Zelda media, canonical and noncanonical, into the timeline to make it a bit easier to understand.

What if BOTW naturally happens in all timelines because of demise's curse on the blood of the goddess and the spirt of the hero and that it's just destiny that, no matter what they do, the events of BOTW and the fall of Hyrule is inevitable which is why pieces of all 3 timelines are in the game out of convergence

What about the fanfiction I wrote in sixth grade about Midna getting married to Optimus Prime? Where does that fit in, huh?

Well, didn't think I'd be watching a man decent into insanity for 15 minutes today

Ummm link doesn't decide to stay an adult... He isn't there for the adult timeline. The reason why it is called the adult timeline is just a title for the timeline where link is sent back in time and the world continues without him. Link isn't there at all, that's why the gods had to step in to flood Hyrule when Ganon returned because Link was sent back in time but the timeline kept going. That's why we have the child and adult timeline, the child timeline follows Link after the events of ocarina after he was sent back in time, it's the same Link. The adult timeline follows Zelda and Hyrule in a world without Link (the hero of time Link, to be exact) because Zelda sent him back in time, adult Link never decided to stick around, he was always sent back in time, otherwise he would have been there to fight Ganon and Hyrule wouldn't have needed to be flooded

One thing I'd like to think is that with BOTW (As of this video) since it's technically in all 3 time lines, we can say that whatever canon you want to follow, it all leads to BOTW, so that way we can now ask "Is it after Breath of the wild?"

I think BOTW drastically cleans up the timeline, we may not know what games are in what time lines if their prior to BOTW, but we can say if it's after, it's technically written Canon, rather then theoretical canon.

Using Hyrule warriors to tie everything together...

We're not talking about how he did this nearly a year before MatPat?
It's the same theory.

"white guy in a three piece suit growing more and more disheveled (over zelda)" is probably my sexuality tbh

Well actually, Adult link isn't present in windwaker because he went back to his childhood and then left, so he actually left that timeline

This is far superior than Game Theory.

Am sorry, matpat, but not.

Lol Game Theory still your Hyrule Warriors idea

Well actually the chess board game was originaly for calculating how to go about war strategy so the legend of zelda board game happens during hyrule warriors because it is the only war that link is apart of unless you count the one that you never played in for breath of the wild but the board game doesn't have gaurdians so it's during hyrule warriors.

Unraveled: or, Brian gradually strips

wait a minute, I thought that the boy in wind waker wasn't link, but just a boy that happens to come across Ganon in a place far away from hyrule after he heard about the history of link... so the timeline didn't have to split up at that point right?
